Eufy has introduced the Omni S2 Pro, an upgraded version of its flagship S2 robot vacuum featuring 40,000 Pa suction, UV-C floor disinfection and a redesigned hot-water roller mopping system.

The new model is [listed on Eufy's U.S. website](https://eufy-us.sjv.io/5kEz4D?ref=vacubots.com) for $1,699.99, $100 more than the original Omni S2's $1,599.99 list price.

Beyond increased suction, the S2 Pro introduces expanded obstacle recognition, improved allergen filtration and a more powerful self-cleaning station. However, the original S2 retains advantages in certain areas, including carpet climbing and automatic mop rewashing based on water contamination.

## UV-C Disinfection and Improved Mopping

The most significant addition is a UV-C disinfection system that works alongside Eufy's existing electrolyzed-water technology to disinfect floors during cleaning.

Six ultraviolet LEDs mounted underneath the robot operate at wavelengths between 270 and 280 nanometers. The lights illuminate the floor during cleaning and automatically shut off when the robot is lifted or overturned.

Eufy claims the combined system eliminates 99.99% of bacteria on floors, citing laboratory testing by TÜV and SGS. Although ultraviolet light can also inactivate certain viruses, the company has not established an equivalent virus-elimination rate in its published product specifications.

The Eufy Omni S2 Pro's multifunction docking station automatically empties the dustbin, washes and dries the roller mop, treats cleaning water and dispenses fragrance.

The S2 Pro also introduces HydroJet 3.0, replacing the original S2's HydroJet 2.0 roller mopping system. Eufy says upgraded design uses 131-degree water to help break down grease and increases downward pressure from 15 to 16 newtons.

The 11.4-inch roller uses 32 water jets and rotates at 240 rpm, continuously washing itself during operation to reduce the spread of dirty water across floors.

Eufy has also increased the docking station's mop-washing temperature from 140 to 212 degrees, followed by heated drying.

## More Suction and Improved Allergen Filtration

Vacuum suction increases from 30,000 Pa on the original S2 to 40,000 Pa on the S2 Pro, a 33% increase in advertised peak suction pressure.

Eufy says the additional suction helps remove dust mites and allergens embedded in carpeting, although actual performance will depend on carpet type and cleaning conditions.

The upgraded AeroTurbo 3.0 multicyclone filtration system is designed to maintain suction performance for up to 365 days, compared with 90 days on the previous model.

Eufy also claims its filtration system captures 99.99% of particles under specified testing conditions. The S2 Pro adds an antibacterial filter containing polyhexamethylene biguanide, or PHMB, intended to inhibit bacterial growth.

Together, these changes form part of Eufy's AllergyArmor system, which combines stronger suction with multicyclone filtration to capture and retain debris collected from floors and carpets.

## Smarter Navigation and Better Edge Cleaning

The S2 Pro uses Eufy's CleanMind AI navigation system, which can recognize more than 360 common obstacle types, compared with more than 200 on the original S2.

The navigation system now uses two line-laser modules instead of one, alongside 3D mapping and AI-powered obstacle recognition. Eufy says the upgraded system improves navigation around furniture, corners and other difficult areas, including in low-light conditions.

Both robots feature extending roller mops designed to clean along walls and edges. The S2 Pro also retains Eufy's anti-tangle brush system.

Threshold-crossing capabilities have improved, with the S2 Pro supporting two-tier obstacles up to 2.76 inches, compared with 1.65 inches on the original S2.

However, the older model retains an advantage when climbing onto thicker carpets, supporting heights up to 1.97 inches compared with 1.38 inches on the Pro.

Both models maintain a 3.86-inch body height.

## An Upgraded Omni Station

The S2 Pro's multifunction Omni Station handles automatic dust collection, mop washing and drying, along with water treatment and fragrance dispensing.

Eufy says its automatic dust collection system can provide up to 90 days of hands-free debris disposal, depending on household conditions and cleaning frequency.

The station also introduces a PHMB-treated antibacterial dust bag designed to inhibit bacterial growth inside the collection system.

Electrolyzed-water treatment remains part of the docking station's cleaning process, while the fragrance system has been upgraded to support two deodorizing scents.

Hot-water mop washing now reaches 212 degrees, compared with 140 degrees on the original S2, with heated drying intended to reduce lingering moisture and odors.

## What the Original S2 Still Does Better

Despite the upgrades, the S2 Pro does not improve every specification.

The original Omni S2 can climb onto thicker carpets and includes a docking station that monitors dirty water to determine whether the mop needs another wash.

According to Eufy's comparison, the latter feature is not carried over to the S2 Pro.

Both models retain electrolyzed-water disinfection, automatic dust collection, continuously self-cleaning roller mops, extending edge-cleaning systems and multifunction docking stations.
