Ecovacs released the Deebot T90 Pro Omni in North America earlier this year as the successor to last year's T80 Pro Omni, bringing a wider roller mop, redesigned vacuuming hardware and several features found on the company's more expensive robot vacuums.

## What's in the Box

The standard package includes the Deebot T90 Pro robot, Omni base station, clean and dirty water tanks, power cord, side brush, main brush, antibacterial filter, antibacterial dust bag, microfiber roller mop, quick start guide, manual and 8.8 fluid ounces of Ecovacs cleaning solution.

The Deebot T90 Pro Omni arrives in a large box containing the robot, Omni station and included cleaning components.

Replacement dust bags, filters and brushes are not included and will need to be purchased separately.

## Redesign Base Station, Low-Profile Design

The T90 Pro and its Omni base station use a charcoal finish with gold accents across both pieces. The base station has a textured matte finish and comes off as more premium than the T80.

The T90 Pro Omni returns to its base automatically for charging, dust collection and roller-mop maintenance.

Instead of placing a traditional lidar turret on top, Ecovacs integrates its navigation hardware into the robot's body measuring 3.74 inches tall. That gives the T90 Pro a relatively flat top for a full-service robot vacuum with an extending roller mop and onboard water system.

The base station houses separate clean and dirty water tanks and uses a removable cleaning tray beneath the robot that's white.

## Ozmo Roller 3.0 Gets Much Wider

The most obvious change underneath the T90 Pro is its Ozmo Roller 3.0 mop.

The roller measures 10.63 inches across, roughly 50% longer than the previous version, and spins at up to 200 rpm.

During cleaning, fresh water is supplied across the roller while a scraper removes dirty water and debris. Ecovacs says the system uses 32 pressurized water outlets to continually rinse the mop as it moves across the floor.

TruEdge 3.0 allows the roller assembly to extend outward by up to 0.59 inch along walls and furniture. A felt-covered outer edge provides a softer contact point when the mop moves toward baseboards and cabinets.

The roller can lift 0.59 inch when the robot detects carpet. Ecovacs also uses ultrasonic carpet detection and can increase suction when traveling across carpeted areas.

Unlike some competing roller-mop designs, the T90 Pro doesn't use a removable dirty water tank inside the robot. Wastewater is routed through an internal system that uses a small propeller to help move debris and water before the system is flushed at the station.

## Redesigned Vacuuming Hardware

Ecovacs also changed the T90 Pro's main brush.

The ZeroTangle 4.0 design uses directed airflow around the roller to help guide hair toward the suction inlet instead of allowing it to collect around the ends of the brush.

Maximum suction is rated at 30,000 Pa, while Ecovacs also lists maximum airflow at 16 liters per second.

The T90 Pro uses a fixed side brush rather than the extending side brushes found on some of Ecovacs' higher-end models.

Its dustbin includes a washable filter and separate pre-filter for larger debris.

## Aivi 3D 4.0 and TruePass

Navigation comes from an embedded time-of-flight system rather than a traditional raised lidar turret.

Obstacle avoidance is handled by Aivi 3D 4.0, which combines cameras, structured light and onboard object recognition to detect obstacles and adjust the robot's path.

The T90 Pro also introduces Ecovacs' TruePass Adaptive 4-Wheel-Drive Climbing System.

When the robot encounters a larger transition, two auxiliary wheels deploy to help lift it over the obstacle. Ecovacs rates the system for single thresholds up to 0.94 inch and multistage transitions totaling up to about 1.57 inches.

## The Ecovacs Home App

Initial setup starts with a mapping run through the Ecovacs Home app. Once the map is created, rooms can be divided, merged and renamed, with separate cleaning settings assigned to different areas.

Most of the T90 Pro's features are controlled through the Ecovacs Home app.

Users can adjust suction, water flow and cleaning sequences, select individual rooms and create different vacuuming and mopping routines.

The Ecovacs Home app provides detailed map controls, room and zone cleaning, carpet settings and access to YIKO Assistant, though some assistant commands are not supported on the T90 Pro Omni.

The app also includes Agent Yiko, which can automatically adjust settings based on the mapped home, flooring and cleaning history.

Yiko also serves as the robot's onboard voice assistant, allowing cleaning jobs and other functions to be started using spoken commands without requiring a separate smart speaker.

## PowerBoost Charging

The T90 Pro uses a 4,000 mAh lithium-ion battery paired with Ecovacs' PowerBoost charging system.

Instead of relying entirely on a conventional recharge-and-resume cycle, PowerBoost is designed to add smaller amounts of energy during longer cleaning jobs.

Ecovacs says the system can restore 10% of the battery in three minutes and automatically determine how much power the robot needs to finish the remaining cleaning area.

The company rates the T90 Pro for up to 140 minutes of vacuuming in silent mode or 120 minutes in standard mode under its test conditions.

## Omni Station Handles Routine Maintenance

The Omni station empties the robot's dustbin, refills its onboard water supply, washes the roller mop and dries it after cleaning.

The station washes the roller with water heated to as high as 167 degrees and dries it with 145-degree hot air.

It also automatically dispenses cleaning solution instead of requiring detergent to be manually added for each cleaning cycle.

The clean water tank holds roughly 1.06 gallons, while the dirty water tank holds about 0.58 gallon. The disposable dust bag has a 2.5-liter capacity.

The wash tray beneath the robot can be removed for manual cleaning.

## Price and Availability

The Deebot T90 Pro Omni has a $799.99 MSRP in the United States, though Ecovacs regularly discounts its robot vacuums.

Ecovacs also has a Trade-Up program that can lower the price further depending on the promotion and eligible trade-in.

Pricing is only part of the story. The real test is how the T90 Pro Omni performs after spending more time cleaning a real home.
