Matic collects debris inside the robot and uses a compact charging dock. Its owner-maintenance routine is different from the tank-and-bag routine used by large multifunctional stations.

This guide covers the current Matic and its 2026 support instructions.

## What Should You Do Before Cleaning?

Stop the task. Remove the water tank and HEPA bag before turning Matic on its side, as its maintenance guide directs. Follow the component instructions before opening the cleaning head.

Disconnect the charging dock before wiping its contacts.

## How Do You Clean the Brush Roll?

Open the cleaning head using Matic’s instructions, remove the brush roll and clear trapped hair. Inspect the roll’s wear indicator before reinstalling it.

A worn roll and a tangled roll need different attention: remove debris first, then decide whether replacement is necessary.

## What Needs Cleaning Around the Mop?

Inspect the mop roll, mopping cavity and wringer. Remove visible buildup using the procedure for your hardware version.

Matic has used different wringer designs, so identify your part before following a removal video. If the mop roll is removed and rinsed, let it dry completely before reinstalling it.

Do not treat the HEPA bag as a washable dustbin.

## How Do You Clean the Cameras and Wheels?

Use a soft cloth on the wheels. For camera lenses, Matic allows a lightly dampened microfiber cloth; keep moisture away from the surrounding seams.

Check the lenses for a remaining film or smudge before starting another mapping or cleaning run.

## What About the Dock?

Wipe the charging contacts with a dry cloth and keep the approach clear. The dock does not empty a bag, refill a tank or wash a mop.

Check the app afterward for any maintenance message that still needs attention.

## How Often Should You Do This?

Matic’s routine guide suggests monthly brush-roll and mopping-cavity care, with additional maintenance and replacement prompted by the app or visible wear.

Inspect more often if a task ends with an error or cleaning results change.
