If the Matic app cannot reach the robot, start with the robot and network before changing maps or cleaning schedules. A connection problem does not necessarily mean the vacuum itself has stopped working.

These steps follow Matic’s current support guidance.

## What Should You Check First?

Confirm that Matic is powered on and your phone has a working Wi-Fi connection. Open the Matic app and check the connection information under Settings and Connectivity.

Keep the phone and robot on the intended home network while troubleshooting. If the phone is on an isolated guest network, local communication may be restricted.

## How Do You Reboot Matic?

Matic’s Wi-Fi troubleshooting instructions describe this sequence:

1. Hold the play/pause button for about eight seconds, until the screen turns off.
2. Wait about eight seconds.
3. Hold the button for about eight seconds again, until the screen comes on.
4. Reopen the app and check the connection.

Use the charging troubleshooting guide instead if Matic is too depleted to start.

## What If Rebooting Does Not Help?

Matic’s next published step is to pair the robot again:

1. Open Settings, then My Matic.
2. Select the edit control beside the robot.
3. Choose Remove this Matic.
4. Select Add New Matic and complete onboarding again.

Read any app warning before removal so you understand its effect on the current setup. Re-pairing the app is different from a factory-reset procedure.

## What If Only Google Home Is Failing?

Check that Matic still responds in its own app. If it does, investigate the smart-home connection separately.

Matic’s integration guidance identifies IPv6 availability as important for reliable smart-home control. Do not repeatedly remove the robot from its own app when only the connected platform has a problem.

## When Should You Contact Matic?

If the connection still fails, submit a support ticket through Settings, Support and Contact Us. Include whether rebooting and re-pairing were attempted, along with the point where onboarding stops.
