- Description: A small boundary change can mean less trimming. Getting there is easier once you understand the map’s restrictions.

I’m one of MOVA’s biggest fans, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t things I’d like to see improved. Editing an existing mowing zone is one of them.

Sometimes you just want to move an edge a little. That sounds simple enough — until the app’s rules get in the way. In this demonstration with my LiDAX Ultra 2000 AWD, I adjusted a boundary so the mower could overlap my driveway a little more and leave me with less trimming to do.

The good news is that the adjustment becomes much more straightforward once you understand how the process works.

## Know the Restrictions Before You Start

There are three limitations worth knowing:

- The edit had to start with the mower at the charging station.
- You couldn’t expand one zone into a different existing zone.
- A zone split from its original zone couldn’t be deleted in the way I wanted.

Depending on the layout, that could mean remapping part of the yard to get the result you wanted. That’s a frustrating amount of work when all you had in mind was a small change to an edge.

## Start at the Station and Find the Zone Controls

Begin with the mower at its charging station, then open the map’s zone-management controls. The app in my video offers an expansion workflow and walks through the process with on-screen tips.

One detail is easy to confuse: The expansion tip shows a new area overlapping the **same zone you’re enlarging**. That’s different from trying to expand into **another existing zone**, which was one of the restrictions I ran into.

## Follow the Boundary-Expansion Prompts

The video shows the app guiding the mower toward the lawn edge, setting a starting point and using the remote controls to trace the adjustment.

My goal was to move the boundary slightly farther onto the driveway. I wasn’t trying to redesign the whole map — just get the mower a little closer to the grass along that edge.

## Review the New Edge

Complete the app’s confirmation steps, then review the updated zone before the next mowing run. Watch how the mower follows the changed boundary so you can see whether the adjustment does what you wanted.

For me, this was about reducing the grass left for manual trimming. A small change can be useful, even if the route to making that change takes more explanation than it should.

I’d still like MOVA to make zone editing more intuitive. Until then, I hope seeing the process in the yard and on the screen makes that first adjustment a little less frustrating.
