If your Roborock is moving normally but leaving dirt on the floor, start by checking the parts that collect and carry debris. Increasing suction will not clear a blocked filter or remove tangled hair.

These checks focus on Roborock robot vacuums released in 2026\. Brush layouts and access points vary, so use the diagrams for your robot when removing parts.

## Is the Robot Vacuuming?

Check the selected cleaning mode. A mop-only task is not intended to collect dry debris through the vacuum system.

For a simple comparison, select vacuuming and clean a small area where the problem has been noticeable.

## Is the Dustbin Full?

Open and empty the robot’s dustbin. An auto-empty dock does not eliminate the need to check it, especially if you have noticed debris remaining after dock visits.

Look for a clump of hair or another visible blockage at the dustbin opening.

If the bin repeatedly stays full after docking, troubleshoot the dock’s emptying function separately.

## Does the Filter Need Cleaning?

Inspect the filter for buildup. Clean a washable filter according to the manual, then let it dry fully before putting it back.

Do not run the robot without its filter. If the filter is damaged, replace it with one listed as compatible with your exact model.

## Are the Brushes Clear and Installed Correctly?

Turn off the robot before checking the underside. On roller-mop models, follow the manual’s preparation steps before turning it over.

Remove hair from the main brushes and their ends. Check that the bearings, brushes and brush cover are seated correctly, and inspect the side brush for damage.

An anti-tangle design still needs occasional inspection.

## Should You Increase Suction or Add a Pass?

After maintenance, try a stronger suction setting or another pass over the affected area. Change one setting at a time so you can tell what helps.

If the robot skips the area entirely, check the map, room selection and boundaries instead. That is a coverage problem rather than a pickup problem.

## When Should You Contact Support?

Contact Roborock if pickup remains poor after these checks or an error keeps returning. Note the cleaning mode, floor type and any unusual sound so support can narrow down the cause.
