IFA 2026 brought plenty of new robot vacuums, but the most interesting announcements were not always the products closest to release.

Some companies used Berlin to update existing platforms. Others showed concepts that pointed toward where home robotics may be heading next.

The biggest standout came from iRobot.

## iRobot Roomba Duo Steals the Show

Roomba Duo was the coolest technology demo at IFA 2026.

The [concept](https://www.vacubots.com/irobot-ifa-2026-highlights-roomba-duo-max-875-and-a-five-in-one-floor-cleaner/#roomba-duo-shows-how-two-robots-could-work-together) uses two cooperating robots, with a larger floor-washing machine carrying a smaller Roomba and lowering it into areas the main robot cannot reach.

![iRobot Roomba Duo two-robot cleaning concept demonstrated at IFA 2026.](https://storage.ghost.io/c/69/d5/69d51699-d072-45ac-9ab4-d45efbe74012/content/images/2026/09/Roomba-3.png)

iRobot demonstrated Roomba Duo at IFA 2026, using a larger floor-cleaning robot to carry and deploy a smaller Roomba into areas it cannot reach.

Both robots share the same home map and divide cleaning duties based on where each machine can fit.

The larger robot also uses steam ahead of its roller mop and hot air behind it to help dry the floor.

There is no price or release date, but Duo was one of the few products at the show that felt genuinely different.

iRobot also gave the [Roomba Max 875 Combo](https://www.vacubots.com/irobot-launches-roomba-max-875-combo-with-heated-roller-mop-thermamist-spray/) its public debut at IFA 2026\. The flagship uses a heated roller mop with ThermaMist spray and 35,000 Pa of suction.

The Max 875 is available now through iRobot for $1,199, with broader North American retail availability planned for later in September.

## Roborock Finally Gets a Flagship Roller Mop

Roborock used IFA to show the [Saros 20 Flow](https://www.vacubots.com/roborock-saros-20-flow-full-specs-reveal-240-rpm-roller-mop-301-minutes-of-runtime/), finally giving its flagship lineup a roller-mop model.

![Roborock Saros 20 Flow robot vacuum and docking station displayed at IFA 2026 beside the Saros 20 Neo.](https://storage.ghost.io/c/69/d5/69d51699-d072-45ac-9ab4-d45efbe74012/content/images/2026/09/Robroock-2.png)

Roborock displayed the Saros 20 Flow at IFA 2026 alongside the Saros 20 Neo, with the Flow bringing the company’s SpiraFlow 2.0 roller-mop system to its flagship lineup.

Its 10.63-inch SpiraFlow 2.0 roller spins at up to 240 rpm and uses 16 water outlets to keep the mop wet while cleaning.

The robot also has 36,000 Pa of suction, a 6,400 mAh battery and Roborock's latest threshold-crossing system.

This was one of our easier predictions before IFA. VacuBots had already uncovered the model and several of its key specifications from Roborock's own IFA pages.

Roborock has not announced U.S. pricing or a release date.

## Dreame Adds Steam to the Aqua20

Dreame took roller mopping in a different direction with the [Aqua20 Pro Ultra Roller X Complete](https://www.vacubots.com/dreame-launches-aqua20-pro-ultra-roller-x-complete-with-steam-roller-mop-at-ifa-2026/).

The robot generates steam onboard and releases it ahead of the roller mop to help loosen dried-on stains.

![Dreame Aqua20 Pro Ultra Roller X Complete robot vacuum and docking station displayed at IFA 2026.](https://storage.ghost.io/c/69/d5/69d51699-d072-45ac-9ab4-d45efbe74012/content/images/2026/09/Dreame01.png)

Dreame displayed the Aqua20 Pro Ultra Roller X Complete at IFA 2026, featuring onboard steam cleaning, 40,000 Pa of suction and an extending roller mop for edge cleaning.

It also has 40,000 Pa of suction and an extending roller for edge cleaning.

Dreame had previewed the technology before IFA, but Berlin showed it moving closer to a finished product.

The Aqua20 Pro Ultra Roller X Complete is priced at £1,299 in the U.K. and listed as coming soon. U.S. pricing and availability have not been announced.

## Local Maps, Data and Privacy Become a Bigger Story

One of the more interesting trends at IFA had little to do with cleaning performance.

Anker's [MindBase](https://www.vacubots.com/anker-mindbase-uses-cameras-and-ai-to-decide-when-robot-vacuums-should-clean/) is designed to act as a local AI hub for Eufy's smart home products, including robot vacuums. It can store maps locally and use information from cameras and sensors around the home to help decide when a robot should clean.

![Anker MindBase smart home hub displayed at Eufy’s IFA 2026 booth.](https://storage.ghost.io/c/69/d5/69d51699-d072-45ac-9ab4-d45efbe74012/content/images/2026/09/Anker4-2.png)

Anker displayed its MindBase smart home hub at IFA 2026, designed to store data locally and coordinate information from Eufy devices around the home.

DJI also put more emphasis on privacy with [ROMO 2](https://www.vacubots.com/dji-launches-romo-2-with-new-mop-arm-local-only-data-mode/). Its [Local Data Mode](https://www.vacubots.com/dji-launches-romo-2-with-new-mop-arm-local-only-data-mode/#local-data-mode-adds-more-privacy-control) is designed to keep camera and video information from being sent to external servers.

Ecovacs took a more physical approach with the U.S. version of the Deebot X12S. A [built-in privacy shield](https://www.vacubots.com/ecovacs-deebot-x12s-gets-bigger-than-expected-upgrades-at-ifa-2026/#x12s-adds-a-physical-camera-privacy-shield) can cover the robot's cameras when owners want them blocked, although doing so reduces camera-based obstacle recognition.

Robot vacuums have spent years adding more cameras and mapping. IFA 2026 showed manufacturers starting to put more attention on where that data goes and how much control owners have over it.

## Ecovacs X12S Had More Upgrades Than Expected

The [Deebot X12S](https://www.vacubots.com/ecovacs-deebot-x12s-gets-bigger-than-expected-upgrades-at-ifa-2026/) was already on sale in the United States before IFA, but the show revealed several hardware changes that were not obvious at launch.

Ecovacs revised the airflow path, carpet-cleaning hardware and main brush assembly, while adding a side brush that moves laterally. The Omni station also gained a high-pressure water cleaning system designed to help keep the wash tray cleaner.

![Ecovacs Deebot X12S and T90 series robot vacuums and docking stations displayed at the company’s IFA 2026 booth.](https://storage.ghost.io/c/69/d5/69d51699-d072-45ac-9ab4-d45efbe74012/content/images/2026/09/Ecovacs-1.png)

Ecovacs displayed its Deebot X12S and expanded T90 lineup at IFA 2026, including multiple Omni stations and updated robot vacuum platforms.

Ecovacs [expanded the T90 lineup](https://www.vacubots.com/ecovacs-expands-deebot-t90-lineup-at-ifa-2026-brings-x12s-to-europe/) at the show as well, matching FCC filings we had been tracking before IFA.

The X12S OmniCyclone and X12S Pro Omni are already available in the United States. In Europe, the T90 Max and T90 Max Pro went on sale Sept. 9, while the T90S and T90S Pro are scheduled to launch Sept. 24.

## Dyson Launches Its New Nurovi Lineup

Dyson's [new Nurovi robot vacuum lineup](https://www.vacubots.com/dyson-launches-r1-r2-and-r3-nurovi-robot-vacuums/) arrived largely as expected after the models leaked ahead of IFA.

The company introduced the R1 Nurovi Dry, R2 Nurovi Wash+Dry and R3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub UV.

The R2 stands out for its [unusual triangular mop pads](https://www.vacubots.com/dyson-launches-r1-r2-and-r3-nurovi-robot-vacuums/#r2-nurovi-washdry-uses-triangular-mop-pads), while the R3 adds heated roller cleaning, ultraviolet lighting and stain detection. The R1 provides a lower-priced vacuum-only option.

![Close-up of the Dyson R2 Nurovi Wash+Dry triangular blue mop pads rotating beneath the robot.](https://storage.ghost.io/c/69/d5/69d51699-d072-45ac-9ab4-d45efbe74012/content/images/2026/09/Dyson.jpg)

Dyson’s R2 Nurovi Wash+Dry uses triangular mop pads designed to reach closer into corners and along edges than conventional round pads.

The R1 is priced at $549.99\. The $699 R2 and $1,199 R3 launch Sept. 15, with the R2 exclusive to Costco and the R3 headed to a broader range of retailers.

## Narwal Freo 20 Edge Drops Camera-Based Vision

Narwal's [Freo 20 Edge](https://www.vacubots.com/narwal-launches-freo-20-edge-unveils-v40-station-and-v50-cube-at-ifa-2026/) also appeared largely as expected.

The robot uses Narwal's FlowWash roller-mopping system with 31,000 Pa of suction, hidden dToF lidar and structured-light obstacle avoidance.

Unlike the standard Freo 20, the [Edge drops the dual RGB cameras](https://www.vacubots.com/narwal-launches-freo-20-edge-unveils-v40-station-and-v50-cube-at-ifa-2026/#freo-20-edge-drops-the-cameras).

![Narwal Freo 20, Freo 20 Edge and Flow 2 robot vacuums with docking stations displayed at IFA 2026.](https://storage.ghost.io/c/69/d5/69d51699-d072-45ac-9ab4-d45efbe74012/content/images/2026/09/Narwal-1.png)

Narwal displayed the Freo 20, Freo 20 Edge and Flow 2 at IFA 2026 as part of its latest robot vacuum lineup.

The Freo 20 Edge launched in the United States Sept. 8 for $799.99 and became available in Europe Sept. 3 for €799.

Narwal also showed [new cordless and wet-dry cleaners](https://www.vacubots.com/narwal-ifa-2026-highlights-freo-20-edge-debuts-new-wet-dry-cleaners-planned-for-2027/), with the latter planned for Europe in 2027.

## Eufy Brings More Flagship Features Downmarket

Eufy's [Omni E35](https://www.vacubots.com/eufy-launches-e35-omni-with-35-000-pa-suction-upgraded-hydrojet-mop/) was another launch we expected before IFA after the model appeared in company support documents.

![Eufy Omni E35 robot vacuum displayed at Anker’s IFA 2026 booth with AeroTurbo 2.0 and HydroJet 2.0 technology.](https://storage.ghost.io/c/69/d5/69d51699-d072-45ac-9ab4-d45efbe74012/content/images/2026/09/Anker03.png)

Anker highlighted the Eufy Omni E35 at IFA 2026, including its AeroTurbo 2.0 multi-cyclone filtration and HydroJet 2.0 self-cleaning roller mop.

The E35 brings 35,000 Pa of suction, AI See 3.0 obstacle recognition, an upgraded HydroJet 2.0 roller-mopping system and Eufy's AeroTurbo 2.0 multi-cyclone dust separation system, previously used on the more expensive Omni S2.

Its roller applies 16 N of downward pressure and can extend 1.26 inches for edge cleaning.

The Omni station washes the roller with water heated to 140 degrees and dries it at 131 degrees.

U.S. preorders opened Sept. 4 at $999.

## Robot Vacuum Brands Keep Expanding

IFA also showed how quickly robot vacuum companies are moving into other cleaning categories.

Roborock introduced the [RockAqua P1](https://www.vacubots.com/roborock-ifa-2026-highlights-first-pool-robot-new-lidar-mower-and-more-saros-rover-demos/#rockaqua-p1-brings-camera-navigation-and-shallow-water-cleaning), its first pool robot.

![Roborock RockAqua P1 robotic pool cleaner displayed at IFA 2026.](https://storage.ghost.io/c/69/d5/69d51699-d072-45ac-9ab4-d45efbe74012/content/images/2026/09/Roborock3.png)

Roborock introduced the RockAqua P1 at IFA 2026, marking the company’s entry into robotic pool cleaning with camera-based navigation and shallow-water cleaning.

MOVA showed its [Diver A20](https://www.vacubots.com/mova-ifa-2026-highlights-new-mowers-pool-robots-and-window-cleaners/#diver-a20-adds-ai-vision-and-a-self-docking-station) pool robot, window-cleaning robots and [AquaSonar](https://www.vacubots.com/mova-previews-future-tech-next-gen-ultratrim-for-lidax-mowers-at-ifa-2026/), which is designed to let a floating unit communicate with a submerged pool cleaner.

![Close-up of the MOVA Diver A20 robotic pool cleaner in a demonstration pool at IFA 2026.](https://storage.ghost.io/c/69/d5/69d51699-d072-45ac-9ab4-d45efbe74012/content/images/2026/09/MOVA7-1-1.png)

MOVA displayed the Diver A20 pool robot at IFA 2026, using front-facing cameras and tracked wheels for navigation and debris pickup.

Ecovacs continued expanding its Winbot window-cleaning lineup and showed the [Ultramarine L1](https://www.vacubots.com/ecovacs-ifa-2026-highlights-goat-mowers-winbot-and-pool-robots/#ultramarine-l1-brings-3d-lidar-mapping-to-pool-cleaning) pool robot.

![Ecovacs Ultramarine L1 robotic pool cleaner displayed at the company’s IFA 2026 booth beside a demonstration pool.](https://storage.ghost.io/c/69/d5/69d51699-d072-45ac-9ab4-d45efbe74012/content/images/2026/09/EcovacsPool.png)

Ecovacs displayed the Ultramarine L1 pool robot at IFA 2026, highlighting its mapped cleaning approach for different pool shapes and layouts.

IFA made the expansion beyond robot vacuums impossible to miss.

## Stair-Climbing Robots Are Still Mostly Demos

IFA also reinforced one warning from [our preview](https://www.vacubots.com/ifa-2026-preview-robot-vacuum-brands-gear-up-for-berlin/). Concepts are not the same thing as shipping products.

Roborock again showed its [Saros Rover stair-climbing concept](https://www.vacubots.com/roborock-ifa-2026-highlights-first-pool-robot-new-lidar-mower-and-more-saros-rover-demos/), while Dreame returned with [Cyber X](https://www.vacubots.com/dreame-ifa-2026-highlights-cyber-x-nears-launch-new-3-in-1-cleaner-draws-xlean-comparison/#cyber-x-climbs-up-and-down-stairs).

![Roborock Saros Rover stair-climbing robot concept navigating a demonstration staircase at IFA 2026.](https://storage.ghost.io/c/69/d5/69d51699-d072-45ac-9ab4-d45efbe74012/content/images/2026/09/RoborockS23-1.png)

Roborock demonstrated the Saros Rover stair-climbing concept at IFA 2026, using an articulated wheel system to move the robot between steps.

Unlike the Rover, [Cyber X](https://www.vacubots.com/dreame-ifa-2026-highlights-cyber-x-nears-launch-new-3-in-1-cleaner-draws-xlean-comparison/#cyber-x-climbs-up-and-down-stairs) has a European launch window. Dreame plans to release the stair-climbing carrier in September for €1,199\. U.S. pricing and availability have not been announced.

![Dreame Cyber X stair-climbing robot carrier demonstrated on a staircase at IFA 2026.](https://storage.ghost.io/c/69/d5/69d51699-d072-45ac-9ab4-d45efbe74012/content/images/2026/09/Dreame02-1.png)

Dreame demonstrated Cyber X at IFA 2026, using a tracked carrier designed to move compatible robot vacuums between floors and navigate stairs.

## New Cleaning Concepts Break From the Usual Formula

Dreame also displayed its [TriForm 3-in-1 system](https://www.vacubots.com/dreame-ifa-2026-highlights-cyber-x-nears-launch-new-3-in-1-cleaner-draws-xlean-comparison/#dreame-shows-early-3-in-1-concept-similar-to-xlean-tr1), which combines robot vacuum, wet-dry vacuum and cordless vacuum functions in a single platform.

![xLean TR1 robot cleaner demonstrated on a wood floor at IFA 2026 with its upright cleaning stations in the background.](https://storage.ghost.io/c/69/d5/69d51699-d072-45ac-9ab4-d45efbe74012/content/images/2026/09/xLean2-2.png)

xLean demonstrated the TR1 at IFA 2026, showing its robot vacuum and removable handheld cleaning system in a staged home environment.

The concept closely resembles [xLean's TR1](https://www.vacubots.com/ifa-2026-xlean-and-hizero-show-off-two-unusual-floor-cleaning-robots/#xlean-tr1-combines-a-robot-and-handheld-cleaner), which uses a similar transformable design built around one removable cleaning unit. The resemblance was especially striking because xLean was exhibiting the [TR1](https://www.vacubots.com/ifa-2026-xlean-and-hizero-show-off-two-unusual-floor-cleaning-robots/#xlean-tr1-combines-a-robot-and-handheld-cleaner) at the same show.

xLean also showed its EvoMate OS, while Hizero demonstrated its [Glide R700](https://www.vacubots.com/ifa-2026-xlean-and-hizero-show-off-two-unusual-floor-cleaning-robots/#hizero-glide-r700-skips-suction) hard-floor cleaning system without suction.

![Underside of the Hizero Glide R700 displayed at IFA 2026 beside innovation awards and a specification panel.](https://storage.ghost.io/c/69/d5/69d51699-d072-45ac-9ab4-d45efbe74012/content/images/2026/09/H02-1.png)

The Hizero Glide R700 was shown at IFA 2026 with a suction-free hard-floor cleaning system, 220 minutes of runtime and clearance for thresholds up to 200 mm.

They were some of IFA's flashiest demos, but also a reminder that concept robots can appear at trade shows well before manufacturers commit to a release date.

## How Our Predictions Held Up

Our [IFA preview](https://www.vacubots.com/ifa-2026-preview-robot-vacuum-brands-gear-up-for-berlin/) got many of the major launches right.

![IFA 2026 prediction graphic showing major robot vacuum brands around Messe Berlin.](https://storage.ghost.io/c/69/d5/69d51699-d072-45ac-9ab4-d45efbe74012/content/images/size/w1200/2026/08/IFA3UpdatedHero.png)

VacuBots’ IFA 2026 preview tracked expected launches from major robot vacuum brands including Roborock, Dreame, MOVA, Narwal, DJI, Dyson, Ecovacs, iRobot, Eufy and Yeedi.

The [Saros 20 Flow](https://www.vacubots.com/roborock-saros-20-flow-full-specs-reveal-240-rpm-roller-mop-301-minutes-of-runtime/), [Narwal Freo 20 Edge](https://www.vacubots.com/narwal-launches-freo-20-edge-unveils-v40-station-and-v50-cube-at-ifa-2026/), [Eufy Omni E35](https://www.vacubots.com/eufy-launches-e35-omni-with-35-000-pa-suction-upgraded-hydrojet-mop/), [Dyson Nurovi lineup](https://www.vacubots.com/dyson-launches-r1-r2-and-r3-nurovi-robot-vacuums/), [DJI ROMO 2](https://www.vacubots.com/dji-launches-romo-2-with-new-mop-arm-local-only-data-mode/) and [Roborock's first pool robot](https://www.vacubots.com/roborock-ifa-2026-highlights-first-pool-robot-new-lidar-mower-and-more-saros-rover-demos/#rockaqua-p1-brings-camera-navigation-and-shallow-water-cleaning) all appeared largely where expected.

Dreame's [steam-equipped Aqua20](https://www.vacubots.com/dreame-launches-aqua20-pro-ultra-roller-x-complete-with-steam-roller-mop-at-ifa-2026/) also arrived as expected.

## Where Our IFA Predictions Missed

A few of the robot vacuum launches we had been watching did not materialize in Berlin.

Eufy did not announce the S2 Pro, Narwal did not bring the [JX Ultra](https://www.vacubots.com/narwal-jx-ultra-releases-in-china-with-extending-side-brush/) to international markets and [MOVA spent more of IFA highlighting future technology](https://www.vacubots.com/mova-previews-future-tech-next-gen-ultratrim-for-lidax-mowers-at-ifa-2026/) rather than introducing major new robot vacuums.

And nobody saw the [Roomba Duo](https://www.vacubots.com/irobot-previews-roomba-duo-two-robot-cleaning-system-at-ifa-2026/) coming. That tracks, because it was also the most memorable technology demo of IFA 2026.

The bigger takeaway was that no single robot vacuum defined the show.

Roller mops continued moving toward the mainstream, local data and privacy became more prominent and robot vacuum brands kept expanding into other parts of the home.

IFA 2026 showed how quickly robot vacuum makers are evolving into broader home robotics companies.
