Matic raised the prices of its Annual Bag Pass subscription and Matic Care protection plan Monday, adding to the cost of owning its robot vacuum and mop just weeks after the robot itself got more expensive.

## **Bag Subscription Jumps 25% as Individual Packs Get Pricier**

The Annual Bag Pass increased 25% from $96 to $120 per year, while Matic Care rose 25% from $144 to $180\. Matic attributed the increases to tariffs and higher component costs in an email sent to customers.

Together, the two add-ons now cost $300 a year, up from $240.

The Annual Bag Pass is a yearly subscription for replacement HEPA-labeled bags. Subscribers can place refill orders throughout the year, with each order including up to 12 bags and free shipping. Matic's robot collects wet and dry debris in those disposable bags rather than a reusable onboard dustbin.

Owners can also buy bags separately in individual packs without subscribing. A 12-pack now costs $30, up from $25 last summer, a 20% increase. Matic says each bag typically lasts one to four weeks, depending on home size and cleaning frequency. New robots include five bags.

Matic Care extends the robot's warranty to two years from its delivery date and adds coverage for accidental damage, including drops, spills and bumps.

## **Robot Price Has Climbed 36.5% Since June 2025**

The add-on increases follow a price hike on the robot itself last month. Matic has raised the price twice since June 2025, first from $1,095 to $1,245 and then to $1,495, which is $400, or 36.5%, higher.

Co-founder Mehul Nariyawala discussed the increases on a recent "[Smart Home Insider](https://homekit.transistor.fm/episodes/apple-event-rumors-new-sonos-gear-how-matic-is-reinventing-robovacs-with-co-founder-mehul?ref=vacubots.com)" podcast, pointing to higher processor and memory costs. He said a 4 GB memory component that cost manufacturers $12 a year earlier had climbed to $120.
