The main news was the European launch of the Freo 20 and the debut of the Freo 20 Edge, bringing the company’s FlowWash roller-mopping system to more affordable models. The previously announced white Flow 2 was also on display, while the V50 Cube and two wet-dry cleaners showed Narwal’s expansion beyond robot vacuums. ## Freo 20 Edge Joins Freo 20 and White Flow 2 The Freo 20 and Freo 20 Edge took the spotlight at Narwal’s IFA showroom, where both were demonstrated alongside the white Flow 2\. The Freo 20 had debuted a few days before the show, while the Edge made its debut at IFA. The two Freo models share a self-cleaning roller mop, 31,000 Pa of suction, anti-tangle brushes and edge-cleaning features. Their rollers can rinse with water heated to up to 140 degrees. Navigation is the main difference. The Freo 20 uses dual RGB cameras and NarMind Pro, which Narwal says can recognize more than 300 household objects. Both are 3.74 inches tall and have auto-empty docks. The Edge’s dock dries with air heated to up to 113 degrees, compared with up to 140 degrees for the Freo 20. The flagship Flow 2 offers additional features, including a vision-language AI system that can recognize objects beyond a fixed list, a 7,000-mAh battery and mop washing with water heated to up to 176 degrees. The vacuum weighs about 3.1 pounds and is rated at 210 air watts of suction. It includes nine-stage filtration and tools for floors, carpets, furniture and hard-to-reach areas. A version without the auto-empty dock will also be available. ## Wet-Dry Cleaners Show What’s Coming Next Two upcoming wet-dry floor cleaners rounded out the showroom. Narwal identifies them as Essential and Flagship models, with both planned for Europe in 2027. The Essential has a 180-degree lie-flat design, a dual-comb system for hair removal and a dock that washes and dries its roller. It is rated at 25,000 Pa of suction and offers Standard, Suction and Max cleaning modes. The Flagship adds steam and hot-water cleaning, automatic cleaning-solution dispensing and AI DirtSense, which adjusts cleaning power based on floor conditions. Narwal lists a steam-source temperature of up to 752 degrees and cleaning water heated to up to 203 degrees. The steam-source figure is not a stated floor-contact temperature. The dock can also wash the roller with hot water and steam before drying it. Narwal says the Essential can run for up to 30 minutes, while the Flagship can run for up to 60 minutes, including up to 20 minutes in steam mode. The company separately lists up to 40 minutes for the Flagship in AI mode. ## Pricing and Availability The Freo 20 Edge goes on sale in the United States on Sept. 8 at $799.99, with a $699.99 launch price through Sept. 20\. It became available in Europe on Sept. 3 at €799. The Freo 20 has been available in the United States since Aug. 20 at a $1,099.99 MSRP. Its European price is €999. The V50 Cube costs €499 in Europe with its auto-empty dock or €359 without it. U.S. pricing and availability have not been announced.
