Pudu Robotics, best known for its commercial cleaning and delivery robots, is entering the residential lawn care market with the TOMO S Series, a robotic mower lineup designed to automatically sharpen its own blades.

Officially unveiled on November 3, 2026, the series comes in three versions covering lawns ranging from 0.37 to 1.24 acres.

## Automated Blade Sharpening

The TOMO S Series features Pudu’s SharpLoop system, which automatically sharpens the mower’s rotary blades at the charging station when needed.

Pudu says the tool-free process helps maintain cutting performance while reducing routine blade maintenance and replacement. Its announcement does not specify sharpening frequency or blade replacement intervals.

## Cutting System

According to Pudu, two 636-watt cutting motors, 0.85 horsepower each, drive the blades at speeds of up to 6,000 rpm.

Its Lift-Cut-Discharge system uses aerodynamic high-lift blades to pull flattened grass into the cutting path, while a dedicated rear discharge channel directs clippings away from the deck.

The design is intended to handle tall, dense and wet grass while reducing buildup and clogging.

## All-Wheel Drive and Edge Cutting

Pudu says four independent hub motors give the TOMO S Series all-wheel drive and the ability to tackle slopes up to 45 degrees.

A floating cutting deck follows ground contours, while independent suspension supports travel over uneven terrain and obstacles up to 2.4 inches high.

Its Zero Edge Cutting system uses an offset cutting deck, side sensors and a responsive side bumper to mow closer to walls, trees and flower beds, leaving less grass uncut along the edges.

Rear-wheel steering enables tight 180-degree turns, while alternating mowing directions and perimeter return routes are intended to reduce turf disruption and visible tracks.

## Navigation and Mapping

Pudu says its Triple-Sense Navigation system combines 360-degree lidar, artificial intelligence-powered vision and network RTK to provide centimeter-level positioning without a local RTK reference station.

Its One-Tap Auto Mapping feature identifies lawn boundaries and plans routes from the first run, removing the need for perimeter wires or manual mapping.

## An Early Look at Equip Expo 2026

VacuBots contributor Nicholas Meyer saw the TOMO S Series at Equip Expo 2026 in Louisville, Kentucky, ahead of its official launch.
