Robot mowers were a significant part of IFA 2026, but the clearest trend was the push toward zero-edge cutting.

Manufacturers showed new arms, side trimmers and extendable cutting systems designed to reduce or eliminate the strip of grass traditionally left along walls, curbs and other boundaries.

Berlin may have only been the first half of the story, with GaLaBau opening next week in Nuremberg.

## Segway, Dreame and MOVA Push Zero-Edge Cutting

Segway introduced the [Navimow H5 Pro](https://www.vacubots.com/segway-shows-navimow-h5-pro-at-ifa-2026/), adding all-wheel drive and an extendable EdgeMaestro cutting arm that moves the main cutting disc beyond the mower’s body. Segway says the H5 Pro is due in early 2027.

Dreame showed the [A4 AWD Pro](https://www.vacubots.com/dreame-demos-new-a4-awd-pro-robot-mower-at-ifa-2026/) with active front steering, RTK-assisted navigation and an extendable EdgeMaster 4.0 cutting system. The mower is expected in the first half of 2027, with European pricing expected to start at €2,999.

Dreame showed its latest all-wheel-drive robot mower technology at IFA 2026, including new steering and edge-cutting hardware designed for more difficult yards.

Dreame also displayed the A4 AWD Edge, a separate model with an integrated side trimmer. It is also expected in the first half of 2027.

MOVA previewed its next-generation LiDAX Ultra lineup with UltraTrim 3.0, which adds a dedicated right-side cutting disc designed for zero-edge trimming. Its future LiDAX Omni AWD platform goes further with UltraTrim 4.0 and an extending edge-cutting arm.

MOVA used IFA 2026 to show its next generation of robot mower hardware, including an extending edge-cutting system designed to trim closer to lawn boundaries.

MOVA plans to bring the second-generation LiDAX Ultra series to Europe in November 2026.

## Eufy, Anthbot and Mammotion Target Larger and Tougher Lawns

Eufy moved further into larger lawns with the [S2 Max](https://www.vacubots.com/anker-eufy-s2-max-mower-debuts-with-awd-3-7-acre-coverage/), an all-wheel-drive mower designed for properties up to 3.7 acres without a separate RTK station.

The S2 Max also uses an extending cutting arm to reach closer to lawn boundaries. It is scheduled to reach Europe in May 2027 for €3,999.

Eufy expanded its robot mower lineup at IFA 2026 with new hardware focused on all-wheel drive, obstacle handling and more precise mowing near lawn edges.

Anthbot’s [R7 Series](https://www.vacubots.com/anthbot-r7-series-takes-on-tougher-terrain-with-six-motor-awd-adds-edge-trimming/) adds six-motor AWD, dual lidar navigation and a retractable EdgeEase trimming arm designed to reduce missed grass along lawn edges.

Mammotion’s [LUBA 4 AWD](https://www.vacubots.com/mammotion-luba-4-awd-adds-edge-trimming-four-camera-navigation-at-ifa-202/) replaces the front omni wheels with independently steered wheels and adds optional edge trimming on select models. Mammotion says preorders are expected to open in the fourth quarter of 2026.

## Ecovacs and Roborock Expand Their Mower Lineups

Ecovacs previewed its next-generation GOAT T Series with all-wheel drive and a more integrated TruEdge trimming system.

The company also showed a new mower station with high-pressure washing that can automatically clean the mower after use. The lineup is planned for 2027.

Ecovacs previewed a broader approach to automated lawn care at IFA 2026, including a mower station designed to automatically wash the robot after mowing.

Roborock showed the RockNeo Q2, a lower-cost mower with lidar navigation and a built-in edge-cutting blade. The Q2 brings some of Roborock’s newer navigation and edge-cutting features to a more affordable platform.

## Aiper Teases a Future Robot Mower

Aiper also teased a future robot mower as part of its smart yard ecosystem. The mower appeared in the company’s IFA marketing materials alongside its irrigation and pool-care products, but no details were announced.

## More Mower News Likely Coming at GaLaBau

GaLaBau 2026 opens next week in Nuremberg, where robotic lawn care will be much more central to the show.

That should give manufacturers more room to show off new hardware, explain these edge-cutting systems in greater detail and fill in some of the gaps left after IFA.

VacuBots will continue covering the latest robot mower news from GaLaBau as more details emerge.
