How to Connect Your Dyson Robot Vacuum to Google Home

Link your robot’s account, confirm the connection and check which cleaning controls are available.

Connecting your Dyson Robot Vacuum to Google Home lets you use supported cleaning controls without opening the robot’s app for every task. Setup starts with a working robot connection and the correct account.

Add the robot to MyDyson and confirm it responds. These instructions focus on the current Spot+Scrub Ai; older 360-series models can expose different voice controls.

What Do You Need Before Starting?

Update the robot’s app, its firmware and the Google Home app. Have your account sign-in available and confirm that you can start or pause a task in the MyDyson app.

For spoken control, set up a compatible voice-enabled speaker or device. Support can vary by model, country and account region.

How Do You Connect It?

  1. Open Google Home and choose Add.
  2. Choose Link apps or services, then Works with Google.
  3. Search for Dyson and select the official service.
  4. Sign in using the same Dyson account as MyDyson and authorize linking.
  5. Complete setup and check that the robot appears in the intended home.

Menu wording can change with app updates. Follow the current prompts for the official integration when the labels differ.

Which Service Should You Use?

Use the Dyson account containing the robot, not a separate registration-only account with no connected machine. Dyson’s current Spot+Scrub Ai page lists Google Assistant support.

How Do You Check That Linking Worked?

Open the robot’s tile or device entry and try an available basic control. Confirm the response at the robot or in its own app before adding an automated routine.

Start with the robot’s basic cleaning controls. Dyson publishes robot voice commands, but examples for an older 360 model do not guarantee that every cleaning mode or wet-maintenance action transfers to Spot+Scrub Ai.

Does Assigning a Room Set Up Room Cleaning?

Assigning the robot to a room in Google Home organizes the smart-home device. It does not draw a cleaning boundary or replace the robot’s own map.

Set up rooms and names in the robot app, then check whether the linked service supports targeted cleaning.

What If the Robot Does Not Appear?

Check the owning account, region and online status. If it works in the MyDyson app, review the account link or discovery step before resetting the robot.

Contact Dyson support if the official service is unavailable for your model or the same linking error returns. A factory reset is not a routine first step for a voice-service problem.
