Privacy Policy

Last updated: Sept. 28, 2026

VacuBots ("we," "us" or "our") operates vacubots.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it and what choices you have.

Our approach is simple. We collect as little information as possible, and we do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

Who We Are

VacuBots is an independent publication covering robot vacuums, robot mowers and related home cleaning technology.

Questions about this policy or information we hold can be sent to editor@vacubots.com.

Information You Give Us

You can read VacuBots without providing personal information. Two optional features collect information you choose to provide:

  • Newsletter subscriptions. If you subscribe, we collect your email address so we can send you new posts and updates.
  • Site accounts. VacuBots runs on Ghost, which allows you to create a free member account. Signing up collects your email address and, if you choose to provide it, your name.

We use this information to operate the newsletter and your account. We do not sell it, share it for marketing or use it to build an advertising profile.

Ghost stores this information as our publishing platform.

Information Collected Automatically

We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit VacuBots and which articles they read.

Google Analytics may use cookies and collect information such as your IP address, browser and device type, referring page and pages viewed on VacuBots. Google handles that information under its privacy policy.

Our hosting and publishing services may also collect standard technical information, including server logs and cookies needed to operate the site or keep members signed in.

Embedded Video

Some VacuBots articles include videos embedded from YouTube.

When a page containing an embedded video loads, YouTube may receive information about your visit, including your IP address and the page you are viewing. YouTube may also set cookies even if you do not play the video.

If you are signed in to a Google account, Google may associate that activity with your account. Google handles that information under its privacy policy. You can manage your Google privacy settings through your Google account.

VacuBots does not operate its own advertising or behavioral profiling system. Third-party services described in this policy may conduct their own tracking.

VacuBots sometimes earns money when readers use links on our site.

Some links are affiliate links that may pay VacuBots a commission when you make a qualifying purchase. Others are referral links that may provide VacuBots with a reward if you sign up for a service and meet its requirements.

Affiliate links may lead to retailers or directly to manufacturer-operated stores. Some manufacturer affiliate programs are managed through third-party affiliate networks, including Impact, CJ and similar services.

When you click an affiliate or referral link, the retailer, manufacturer, affiliate network or service may use cookies, referral identifiers or similar technology to credit a purchase or signup to VacuBots.

Using one of these links does not increase the price you pay unless the retailer or service clearly states otherwise.

Depending on the program, VacuBots may see limited transaction information, such as the date of a purchase, products purchased, order value or commission earned. We do not receive your payment card information or other sensitive information you provide directly to the retailer or manufacturer.

Amazon Associates

VacuBots is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a way for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.

As an Amazon Associate, VacuBots may earn a commission from qualifying purchases made through links on this site at no additional cost to you.

Amazon may use cookies or other tracking technology to attribute a qualifying purchase to VacuBots. Amazon handles that information under its privacy notice.

VacuBots does not receive your payment information, shipping address or other personal information you provide directly to Amazon.

VacuBots may use affiliate links that lead directly to manufacturer-operated online stores.

If you make a qualifying purchase through one of these links, VacuBots may receive a commission from the manufacturer or the affiliate network managing its program.

These links may contain tracking information or redirect through an affiliate network before taking you to the manufacturer's website.

The manufacturers and affiliate networks VacuBots works with may change over time.

Capital One Shopping

VacuBots may use referral links for Capital One Shopping.

If you sign up through one of our referral links and meet the requirements of its referral program, VacuBots may receive Shopping Rewards or another referral bonus.

Capital One Shopping handles information collected through its website, app and browser extension under its privacy policy.

VacuBots may be able to see whether a referral qualified or a reward was earned. We do not receive your payment information or other personal information you provide directly to Capital One Shopping.

Rakuten

VacuBots may also use referral links for Rakuten.

If you join Rakuten through one of our referral links and meet the requirements of its referral program, VacuBots may receive a cash bonus or other referral reward.

Rakuten handles information collected through its website, app, browser extension and other services under its own privacy policies.

VacuBots may be able to see whether a referral qualified or a reward was earned. We do not receive your payment information or other personal information you provide directly to Rakuten.

Editorial Independence

Affiliate commissions and referral rewards do not determine what VacuBots covers, what we say about a product or which offers appear on our Deals page.

The amount VacuBots may earn from a link does not affect whether a deal is posted or how we evaluate it. We may post deals that earn VacuBots no commission.

Our reviews, recommendations, reporting and deal selections are based on our testing, research, pricing information and editorial judgment.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser.

VacuBots and its service providers may use cookies to keep members signed in, operate site features and measure site traffic.

Retailers, manufacturers, affiliate networks and referral services may also use cookies, referral identifiers or similar technology after you click an affiliate or referral link. This allows them to determine whether a visit, purchase or signup came from VacuBots.

These services may include Amazon, manufacturer stores, affiliate networks such as Impact and CJ, Capital One Shopping and Rakuten.

Embedded YouTube videos may also set cookies.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Doing so may prevent you from staying signed in to a VacuBots account and may prevent an affiliate or referral program from crediting VacuBots for a purchase or signup. VacuBots articles will still be available.

Unsubscribing and Deleting Your Data

Every VacuBots newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. You can use it at any time to stop receiving emails.

If you want your VacuBots account deleted or your email removed from our records, contact editor@vacubots.com.

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, export or delete personal information we hold about you or object to how it is used. VacuBots honors these requests regardless of where you live.

Requests involving information collected directly by Amazon, manufacturers, affiliate networks, Capital One Shopping, Rakuten, Google or other third-party services must be made to those services because VacuBots does not control their records.

Children Under 13

VacuBots is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to VacuBots, contact us and we will delete it.

VacuBots articles link to retailers, manufacturers, services and other publications.

Once you leave VacuBots, this privacy policy no longer applies. The website you visit is responsible for its own privacy practices.

Some third-party links may be affiliate or referral links as described above.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of the page.

Material changes to how VacuBots handles personal information may also be announced on the site or by email to subscribers.
