Roborock Not Emptying, Washing or Drying? How to Troubleshoot the Dock

Check app settings, water tanks and removable dock parts when an automatic maintenance task stops working.

A Roborock dock can charge the robot while another function needs attention. Start with the operation that is failing rather than treating every dock problem the same way.

This guide focuses on Roborock robot vacuums released in 2026. Follow only the checks that apply to the functions on your dock.

What Should You Check First?

Read the app’s error message. Confirm that the dock has power and the robot is correctly docked.

Before inspecting or cleaning components, turn off the robot, unplug the dock and let hot parts cool. Reassemble everything before restoring power.

Why Isn’t the Dustbin Emptying?

  1. Check that automatic emptying is enabled.
  2. Review Do Not Disturb settings and any restrictions on dock operations.
  3. Inspect the dust bag and fit a replacement if it is full.
  4. Check that the dust compartment cover is closed correctly.
  5. Remove visible debris from the accessible emptying openings.

A return to the dock without cleaning, or placing the robot on the dock by hand, may not trigger emptying. Try the manual emptying control in the app after correcting the problem.

Why Isn’t the Mop Washing?

Check that the clean-water tank has water and the dirty-water tank has room. Reseat both tanks and secure their lids.

Inspect the washing tray, filter or maintenance brush specified for your dock. Roller models may also need their onboard wastewater components checked.

Start mopping from the dock and keep the dock in place. A robot working on another floor cannot return to a dock it cannot reach.

A vacuum-only run may not trigger mop washing because the mop was not used.

Why Isn’t the Mop Drying?

Confirm that automatic drying is enabled, then try the app’s manual drying control. Check whether quiet-hour settings restrict the operation.

Leaving the dock can interrupt drying. Let the robot remain docked for the full cycle, and extend the duration if the option is available and the mop stays damp in humid conditions.

What If the Problem Returns?

Record the error message and the operation that fails. Contact Roborock support if accessible parts are clean and properly installed but the dock still cannot complete the task.

Avoid opening sealed dock components to investigate a pump, fan or heater.
