Roborock Won't Connect to Wi-Fi or Shows Offline? Here's What to Do
Troubleshoot pairing problems, lost connections and router changes in the Roborock app.
A Roborock that appears offline needs its connection checked before you can reliably control it through the app. Start with power, signal strength and app permissions before resetting anything.
These steps focus on Roborock robot vacuums released in 2026. Wireless support varies, so check your model’s instructions rather than assuming every robot uses the same Wi-Fi band.
Is the Robot Powered On?
Make sure the dock has power and the robot is charged. Open the Roborock app again and check the device’s status.
If your phone also cannot use your home Wi-Fi, address the network problem first.
What Should You Check During Pairing?
- Update the Roborock app.
- Keep the robot and phone within good range of the router.
- Confirm that you selected your home network and entered its password correctly.
- Check the phone permissions requested during setup. On an iPhone, this can include local network access.
- Follow the app’s prompts to finish adding the robot.
If the app asks you to join the robot’s temporary network, do so at that step. That temporary connection is different from selecting the home network the robot will use afterward.

Does Roborock Require 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi?
Some 2026 models require a 2.4 GHz network. Check the wireless specifications for your exact model rather than assuming advice for one Roborock applies to the entire lineup.
If setup fails, confirm that the network you selected uses a supported band before changing router settings.
What If a Previously Connected Robot Goes Offline?
Restart the robot and router, then check again. A weak signal near the dock can also cause trouble.
If you recently changed the network name, password or router, the robot may need to be connected again.
When Should You Reset Wi-Fi?
Use your model’s Wi-Fi reset instructions, then select Add Device or the plus button in the Roborock app and follow the setup prompts.
A Wi-Fi reset and a factory reset are different procedures. Use the Wi-Fi procedure for reconnection, and avoid a factory reset as a first troubleshooting step.
If pairing still fails, contact Roborock support with the model name and the step where setup stops.
