A whole-home cleanup is useful, but some messes follow a predictable pattern. The kitchen may need attention after dinner while bedrooms need less frequent cleaning.

Roborock’s scheduling and routine tools let you plan those jobs ahead of time. This guide focuses on models released in 2026; the available options and their locations can vary.

What Is the Difference Between a Schedule and a Routine?

A schedule starts a cleaning task at a selected time. A routine saves a task or set of cleaning instructions for reuse.

On supported robots, a routine can also run on a schedule. That lets you save an after-dinner cleanup and have it repeat automatically.

How Do You Add a Cleaning Schedule?

  1. Open your robot in the Roborock app.
  2. Find its scheduling controls in the device settings.
  3. Add a schedule and choose the start time and repeat days.
  4. Select the cleaning area and any settings offered.
  5. Save the schedule and check that it is enabled.

Complete mapping first if you want the schedule to target named rooms.

How Do You Create a Routine?

Open the routines area and add a task. Choose the rooms or area to clean and the available cleaning preferences, then give the routine a recognizable name.

For example, an “After dinner” routine could target the kitchen and dining area. A separate “Entryway” routine could focus on tracked-in dirt.

Run a new routine manually once to check the result before assigning it a repeating time.

Can You Choose the Cleaning Order?

Where the routine editor offers multiple tasks or room sequencing, arrange the job in the order you prefer.

Do not assume that the order you tap rooms always determines the cleaning order. Check the options your app provides.

What Should You Check Before a Scheduled Run?

Leave the robot charged, open the necessary doors and clear loose items from the floor. For mopping, check the water supply and dirty-water tank.

Review the robot’s Do Not Disturb settings as well. Depending on the model and settings, quiet hours can affect charging-related resume behavior or dock operations.

What If a Schedule Stops Working?

Confirm that it is enabled, the selected days are correct and the robot has enough charge. Check for an error message.

If you renamed or divided rooms, review the schedule’s room selections before the next run.
