When to Replace Roborock Brushes, Filters, Mops and Dust Bags

Know what to inspect, when cleaning is enough and how to choose replacement parts for your robot.

Roborock’s brushes, filters and mops wear with use. A maintenance reminder is a useful prompt to inspect them, but condition and the schedule in your manual both matter.

This guide focuses on Roborock robot vacuums released in 2026. Replacement intervals and part compatibility vary, especially among spinning, vibrating and roller mops.

How Often Should You Replace the Main Brushes?

The Saros 20 manual lists a replacement interval of six to 12 months for its main brushes. Treat that as a model-specific reference, not a deadline for every Roborock.

Check for torn rubber, damage or wear that remains after cleaning. Remove tangled hair before deciding a brush needs replacement.

What About the Side Brush?

Inspect for broken arms, missing bristles or damage around the attachment point. Replace a damaged brush rather than waiting for the app’s next reminder.

Check your manual for the recommended interval and installation method.

When Does the Filter Need Replacing?

Washable does not mean permanent. Replace a filter that is damaged or still causes poor airflow after proper cleaning and drying.

Use the maintenance schedule for your model. The Saros 20 manual, for example, lists six to 12 months for its washable filter.

Never reinstall a damp filter to get a cleaning run started sooner.

Do All Roborock Mops Follow the Same Schedule?

No. The Saros 20 manual lists one to three months for its mop cloths, while the Saros 20 Sonic manual lists three to six months for its main vibrating mop cloth.

Those differences are why a single replacement date is not useful across the lineup. Check the instructions for your specific pad, cloth or roller, and replace it sooner if damaged or no longer cleaning effectively.

When Should You Change the Dust Bag?

Replace the dock’s disposable bag when it is full or as directed by the manual. How quickly it fills depends on the debris collected and how often the robot cleans.

If emptying becomes weak, inspect the bag and airflow path rather than relying on an advertised number of days.

How Do You Buy the Right Parts?

Confirm the full model name before ordering. Similar-looking brushes, bags and mop parts are not automatically interchangeable.

Use Roborock’s compatibility listing or the VacuBots Parts Finder. After replacement, update the relevant maintenance reminder if your app provides that option.
