IDC: Roborock Remains No. 1 Brand, Dreame Group Tops Overall Sales as Race Moves Outdoors
IDC says Roborock remained the world's No. 1 robot vacuum brand in the first half of 2026, while Dreame Group moved ahead when Dreame and MOVA were combined.
Roborock remained the world's largest individual robot vacuum brand in the first half of 2026, according to IDC, while Dreame Group moved into first place when Dreame and MOVA were combined.
The numbers show a market increasingly concentrated among a handful of manufacturers, several of which are also expanding beyond indoor cleaning and into outdoor robotics.
Worldwide Robot Vacuum Sales Hit a Record $3.89 Billion
IDC estimated that 7.89 million robot vacuums shipped worldwide in the second quarter, generating $3.89 billion in sales.
The global average selling price rose 7.9% from a year earlier, with sales averaging $493 per robot sold.
Roborock, Dreame, Ecovacs, Xiaomi and MOVA were the five largest robot vacuum brands during the quarter. Together, they accounted for nearly three out of every four units shipped worldwide and 82% of global sales revenue.
Dreame Group Moves Ahead When Brands Are Combined
Across the first half of the year, Dreame and MOVA together accounted for 26.1% of global robot vacuum shipments and 31.2% of sales value, putting Dreame Group first in both measures.
Roborock remained No. 1 among individual brands.
The distinction comes just weeks after Dreame unveiled a restructured Dreame Group at IFA 2026, bringing Dreame, MOVA and NAVEE under one corporate structure.
Europe Helps Drive Robot Vacuum Growth
IDC's second-quarter data shows Europe was one of the strongest robot vacuum markets during the quarter, with shipments up 64% from a year earlier.
Higher-end models also remained an important part of the market. Robots priced above $800 before tax made up 16.6% of European shipments.
Robot Mowers Lead the Outdoor Surge
IDC said robot vacuum manufacturers are increasingly expanding into robotic lawn care, a trend the company also highlighted in its IFA 2026 analysis of the smart home robotics market.
Robotic lawn mower shipments reached 939,000 units during the second quarter, up 59.7% from a year earlier.
Wire-free models accounted for 84.2% of mower shipments, showing how quickly the market is moving away from systems that require buried boundary wires.
Growth was not limited to lawn care. Window-cleaning robot shipments climbed 59.8% to 847,000 units during the quarter.
Pool-cleaning robots moved in the opposite direction. Shipments fell 6.3% to 1.53 million units as retailers worked through inventory and manufacturers faced greater price competition.
Across robot vacuums, lawn mowers, pool cleaners and window-cleaning robots, global shipments reached 11.2 million units during the quarter, up 21.5% from a year earlier.
