How to Set Up Matic Cleaning Schedules

Plan room and area cleanups around the times your home needs them.

A useful Matic schedule can be as simple as a kitchen cleanup after dinner. Start with one predictable task before automating several rooms and times.

This guide covers scheduling in the current Matic app.

What Can You Schedule?

Matic’s published guidance supports multiple schedules, including specific rooms and highlighted areas. The options shown depend on the app version and selected map.

Finish reviewing room boundaries and floor types before building recurring jobs around them.

How Do You Create a Cleaning Schedule?

  1. Open the Matic app’s scheduling controls.
  2. Add a cleaning entry.
  3. Choose the room or supported area to clean.
  4. Select the available task and cleaning preferences.
  5. Set the start time and repeat days.
  6. Save the schedule and check its summary.

Use the controls offered by your app rather than assuming an iPhone and Android layout will be identical.

What Makes a Useful First Job?

Choose a small task that you can observe once. For example, clean the kitchen after the evening meal, allowing time for people to finish using the room.

Run that task manually before relying on the recurring entry. Confirm that doors are open and the highlighted area is correct.

Do You Need Separate Jobs for Different Preferences?

Check what your app allows within a single scheduled task. If it does not provide different settings for each room, create separate jobs rather than assuming those preferences will be applied automatically.

Avoid overlapping starts while testing a new routine.

How Is Sink Summon Different?

Sink Summon sends Matic to a pinned location for a water refill. It is not a substitute for a cleaning schedule.

You can configure its location through Edit Map and Sink Summon, then schedule the refill visit where supported. Pick a place that is easy to reach without blocking a doorway.

What If the Schedule Cleans the Wrong Area?

Review the selected floor and room boundaries after any map edit. Check task history and current alerts before deleting the schedule and starting again.

Keep the water tank, bag and mop ready for the task you have planned.
