Narwal Says Server Upgrade Caused App Outage, Service Restored
Narwal attributed Wednesday’s app outage to an overseas server upgrade and confirmed service is back online.
Narwal attributed Wednesday’s app connection and robot vacuum control outage to an upgrade of its overseas servers and confirmed that service has been restored.
In an update on its official Reddit community, Narwal said the disruption affected users globally, except in regions with separate servers. Connections were restored in batches, meaning service returned at different times for different users worldwide.
Narwal apologized for the disruption and advised owners still experiencing problems to restart the app and check their connection.
The statement follows an approximately six-hour outage affecting MOVA and Narwal apps that began Wednesday evening, Oct. 28, according to user reports and VacuBots’ observations.
During the outage, VacuBots could not connect to its Narwal Flow 2 or MOVA Z60 Ultra Roller Complete through either brand’s app.
MOVA has not commented on its server downtime, leaving it unclear whether the two brands’ outages were related.
