Sunseeker Elite is previewing its next generation of robotic mowers at Equip Expo 2026, an outdoor power equipment trade show running Oct. 20-23 in Louisville, Kentucky.

The X8 Plus and upcoming X5 Gen 3 headline the company’s display at the Kentucky Exposition Center, where exhibits and outdoor demonstrations run Oct. 21-23.

X8 Plus Adds AONavi 3.0 Navigation

Designed for residential lawns up to 2 acres, the X8 Plus uses Sunseeker’s AONavi 3.0 system, which combines network RTK satellite positioning, solid-state lidar and stereo vision.

Sunseeker says lidar and vision support obstacle recognition and avoidance, while an infrared camera assists animal detection during daytime and nighttime operation. The mower also includes a physical bumper.

X8 Plus Rated for Slopes Up to 39 Degrees

The X8 Plus features Sunseeker’s ATC Pro system, combining all-wheel drive, four-wheel suspension and rear-wheel steering. The company rates the mower for slopes up to 80%, or about 39 degrees.

Its cutting system has a 15.4-inch width, with a stated mowing speed of up to 1.3 mph. The mower uses a 15 Ah battery and includes rain sensing and an IPX6 water-resistance rating.

Sunseeker’s EdgeZero 2.0 trimming tool is designed to cut along lawn borders without leaving a gap, according to the company, reducing the need for manual trimming.

X5 Gen 3 Joins the Preview

Sunseeker also is previewing the X5 Gen 3 but provided no detailed specifications for the model in its Equip Expo announcement.

The announcement did not include pricing or release dates for the X5 Gen 3 or X8 Plus.

X7 Gen 2 and X4 Demonstrate Slope Handling

Sunseeker’s display includes the X5 Gen 2, X7 Gen 2 and X7 Plus Gen 2, which combine AONavi navigation with Vision AI 2.0. Visual mapping supports navigation where satellite reception is limited, while the X7 Gen 2 and X7 Plus Gen 2 add all-wheel drive and floating dual cutting discs. The X4, X9 and X9 Plus also are on display.

Outdoor demonstrations feature the X7 Gen 2 and X4 on inclines and uneven terrain. Inside, live camera imagery shows how the mowers perceive their surroundings and plan routes.

Visitors can find Sunseeker at indoor booth 1190 and outdoor demonstration area 7460D.

S-Series Rollout Scheduled for Feb 2027

The Equip Expo previews follow Sunseeker’s September unveiling of five lidar-equipped models across its S3, S5 and S7 families at IFA in Berlin.

The range is designed for lawns from about 0.12 to 0.74 acres, with availability scheduled to begin in February 2027.

Sunseeker says the models operate without perimeter wires or external positioning antennas. The S7 features all-wheel drive rated for slopes up to 80%, or about 39 degrees, and an expansion interface supporting accessories such as an EdgeZero trimming head.

The February launch window applies to the S-series lineup.
