How to Connect Your Mova Robot Vacuum to Amazon Alexa
Link your robot’s account, confirm the connection and check which cleaning controls are available.
How to Connect Your Mova Robot Vacuum to Alexa
Connecting your Mova robot vacuum to Alexa lets you start cleaning, pause a task or send the robot back to its dock by voice. First, finish setup in MOVAhome and confirm that the vacuum responds there.
These instructions cover Mova robot vacuums registered in MOVAhome.
What Do You Need Before Starting?
Have these items ready:
- A compatible robot that is online in MOVAhome.
- The sign-in information for the MOVAhome account that owns the robot.
- The Amazon Alexa app, signed in to the Amazon account you use for Alexa.
- An Alexa-enabled device, such as an Echo speaker or Echo Show, for voice commands.
Install available updates for both apps and the robot’s firmware. Then start and pause a cleanup in MOVAhome to confirm that the robot responds.
Check compatibility for your model and country if you are unsure whether Alexa is supported.
Which Alexa Skill Should You Choose?
Search for MOVAhome. The official MOVAhome skill listing on Amazon’s U.S. website identifies it as the service that links your MOVAhome account to Alexa.
The listing may show Dreame Innovation Technology as the developer. Check the skill name and use your MOVAhome credentials; that developer name does not mean you should select the Dreamehome skill.
How Do You Connect Your Mova to Alexa?
- Open the Amazon Alexa app.
- Tap More, then Skills & Games.
- Search for MOVAhome and open the official skill.
- Tap Enable to Use.
- Sign in with the MOVAhome account that owns the robot and approve access.
- Follow the prompts to discover devices.
- Open Devices and look for your vacuum.
If discovery does not start, say, “Alexa, discover my devices,” or open Devices and select Add Device.
Menu names and locations may change with app updates. Follow the prompts for the MOVAhome integration if your layout differs.

Which Alexa Commands Can You Use?
Begin with “Alexa, ask Mova Bot to …” and finish with a phrase below.
| What You Want to Do | Finish the Command With |
|---|---|
| Start cleaning | “Clean.” |
| Pause cleaning | “Pause.” |
| Return to the dock to charge | “Recharge.” |
| Stop cleaning | “Stop.” |
The U.S. skill listing provides examples for starting, pausing and recharging, and its description confirms start-and-stop control.
These are the basic controls supported by the published listing, rather than an exhaustive list of every request a particular model might accept. Check the linked skill’s instructions or ask Mova support for additional commands available for your model and language.
Do not substitute “Dreame Bot” or a built-in “Hey Mova” command. Those refer to different integrations or voice-control systems.
How Can You Tell Whether Linking Worked?
Try the start command and watch the robot respond, or check its status in MOVAhome. Then test pausing and returning to the dock.
Alexa saying “OK” is only part of the check: Confirm that the vacuum actually performs the requested action.
If Alexa reports that no new devices were found, check Devices anyway. Amazon staff explain in their Mova Z60 discovery troubleshooting response that a device may already be listed despite that message.
Test each command before adding it to an Alexa routine.

Can Alexa Tell the Robot to Clean One Room?
Assigning the vacuum to an Alexa room does not define a cleaning boundary. Create and name mapped rooms in MOVAhome.
The U.S. MOVAhome skill listing does not provide room-cleaning command examples. Confirm support and exact wording for your model before relying on targeted cleaning.
If a room request starts a whole-home cleanup instead, stop the robot and use MOVAhome to select the intended room.
Can Alexa Start MOVAhome Shortcuts?
Mova Academy’s published guidance on voice control and shortcuts says shortcut activation is not supported through Alexa or Google Home. Start saved MOVAhome shortcuts in the app unless your model’s current instructions explicitly document another option.
Likewise, do not assume Alexa supports suction changes, water settings, mop washing or dust collection simply because those controls appear in MOVAhome.
What If Alexa Cannot Find or Control the Vacuum?
Try MOVAhome first. If the robot does not respond there, restore its connection before troubleshooting Alexa.
If it works in MOVAhome:
- Confirm that you enabled MOVAhome and linked the account that owns the robot.
- Make sure your Echo is online and uses the Amazon account you linked.
- Check Devices, then run discovery again if the vacuum is missing.
- Try a basic command using the full “ask Mova Bot” wording.
- If the connection still fails, disable and re-enable the MOVAhome skill, then link the accounts again.
Amazon includes relinking among its recommendations in the Mova Z60 troubleshooting response.
Contact Mova support if the skill is unavailable or the same error returns. Provide your model name, the command you tried and Alexa’s exact response. Use a factory reset only when Mova’s troubleshooting instructions call for it.
