How to Connect Your Eufy Robot Vacuum to Alexa

Connecting your eufy robot vacuum to Alexa lets you start cleaning, stop a cleanup or send the robot back to its charging dock by voice. The app and linking steps can differ by model, so begin with the app where your vacuum is already registered.

Confirm that the robot works in that app before connecting Alexa.

What Do You Need Before Starting?

Have these items ready:

  • A compatible robot that is online in its eufy app.
  • The sign-in information for the account that owns the robot.
  • The Amazon Alexa app, signed in to the Amazon account you use for Alexa.
  • An Alexa-enabled device, such as an Echo speaker or Echo Show, for voice commands.

Install available updates for both apps and the robot’s firmware. Then start and stop a cleanup in the robot’s app.

Use the owner’s account when linking. Eufy’s Alexa troubleshooting instructions specify that you must be the primary device owner, rather than someone receiving shared access.

Which Eufy App and Alexa Skill Should You Use?

Use the app named in your vacuum’s manual. Depending on the model and app version, instructions may refer to eufy, eufy Clean or the older EufyHome name.

For robots covered by eufy’s RoboVac Alexa instructions, the skill is eufy Clean - RoboVac. The similarly named eufy Clean skill serves smart bulbs and plugs.

If your robot’s app provides an Amazon Alexa linking option, start there to find the integration intended for your model.

How Do You Connect Through the Eufy App?

On models that offer account linking in the eufy app:

  1. Open the app where your robot is registered.
  2. Open the main menu and look for Third Party Services or Smart Integrations.
  3. Select Amazon Alexa for your vacuum.
  4. Follow the prompts to open Alexa or sign in to Amazon.
  5. Approve the account connection and finish setup.

Menu names vary by model and app version. For example, the Omni S2 user guide uses Third Party Services. Follow your own model’s guide if its menus differ.

How Do You Connect Through the Alexa App?

If your model’s instructions identify the eufy Clean - RoboVac skill:

  1. Open the Amazon Alexa app.
  2. Tap More, then Skills & Games.
  3. Search for eufy Clean - RoboVac.
  4. Open the official skill and tap Enable to Use.
  5. Sign in with the account used in your robot’s app and approve access.

Eufy documents this process in its RoboVac Alexa setup guide.

That guide says device discovery is unnecessary for this skill. If your model’s integration does request discovery, follow its prompts.

Which Alexa Commands Can You Use?

For the eufy Clean - RoboVac skill, begin with “Alexa, ask RoboVac to …” and finish with a phrase below.

What You Want to DoFinish the Command With
Start cleaning“Start cleaning.”
Stop cleaning“Stop cleaning.”
Return to the charging dock“Go home.”
Find the robot“Find my robot.”

These are all four control categories listed in eufy’s RoboVac Alexa guide. Check your model’s integration instructions for any additional controls or different wording.

How Do You Choose a Particular Robot?

For this skill, put the robot’s name after “RoboVac.” For example: “Alexa, ask RoboVac Rosie to start cleaning.”

Use the same naming pattern for stopping, returning home and finding the robot. Give each vacuum a distinct, easy-to-pronounce name in its app, without emojis or special characters.

How Can You Tell Whether Linking Worked?

Try a supported start command, watch the robot respond, then test stopping and returning to the dock. You can also check its status in the eufy app.

For the eufy Clean - RoboVac skill, a missing Alexa device tile does not necessarily mean linking failed, since eufy says discovery is not required.

If your integration offers on-screen controls, test those too. Confirm that each action works before using it in a routine.

Can Alexa Tell the Robot to Clean One Room?

Assigning the vacuum to an Alexa room does not define a cleaning area. Set up mapped rooms and cleaning boundaries in the robot’s own app.

Eufy’s RoboVac room-cleaning support article says the integration it describes does not support room-specific voice cleaning. Check your model’s current instructions before assuming it has that capability.

Likewise, do not assume Alexa supports suction changes, mop washing or dustbin emptying simply because those controls appear in the eufy app.

What If Alexa Does Not Control the Vacuum?

Try the robot’s own app first. If the vacuum does not respond there, restore its connection before troubleshooting Alexa.

If it works in the app:

  1. Confirm that you linked the account that owns the robot.
  2. Check that you selected the vacuum integration specified for your model.
  3. Make sure your Echo is online and uses the Amazon account you linked.
  4. Try a documented command, including “ask RoboVac” where required.
  5. Follow the integration’s instructions to relink the account if the problem continues.

Contact eufy support if the integration is unavailable or the same error returns. Provide the model name, app name, enabled skill and Alexa’s exact response. Use a factory reset only when eufy’s troubleshooting instructions call for it.
