iRobot IFA 2026 Highlights: Roomba Duo, Max 875 and a Five-in-One Floor Cleaner

iRobot is showing its Roomba Duo concept, new robot vacuums and a cordless wet-dry vacuum at IFA 2026 in Berlin.
Roomba Duo Shows How Two Robots Could Work Together
The Roomba Duo has generated considerable buzz at IFA 2026. The concept combines a larger vacuum and floor-washing robot with a smaller companion that can clean beneath furniture and in other spaces the main unit cannot reach.
A mechanical arm carries and lowers the smaller robot. Both robots share the same map and coordinate their cleaning through the Roomba Home app. The larger unit has a 2.36-inch roller mop, steam to loosen dried-on messes and hot-air drying behind the roller to dry the floor.
For its Duo demonstration, iRobot is using an existing Roomba Plus 575 as the smaller robot. The company has not confirmed whether that model will be part of the final system.
New Flagship Roomba Max 875 Combo on Display
iRobot is displaying its new flagship Roomba Max 875 Combo at IFA 2026 alongside the rest of its current robot vacuum lineup.
The Max 875 has a carpet seal that lowers around the vacuum opening to concentrate airflow against carpet fibers. iRobot says the robot is rated at 35,000 Pa suction and 20 liters per second of airflow.
For mopping, the Max 875 sprays heated mist ahead of its roller, which spins at 300 rpm and applies 18 N of downward pressure. The roller can extend up to 1.77 inches along edges, while a shield covers it when the robot detects carpet.
The dock washes the roller with 176-degree water, dries it with 131-degree air, dispenses cleaning solution and empties dust into a bag.
Plus 678 Combo Offers a Lower-Priced Option
The Roomba Plus 678 Combo is also part of iRobot’s IFA display. Announced alongside the Max 875, it uses a similar carpet seal but has lower suction and a different mopping system.
iRobot rates the Plus 678 at 30,000 Pa suction and 18 liters per second of airflow. Instead of heated mist, it sprays cleaning solution ahead of its roller mop to loosen dried-on messes.
The roller applies 15 N of pressure and can extend up to 1.77 inches along edges. Its dock washes and dries the mop and empties dust into a bag.
Electro Plus Adds a Cordless Wet-Dry Vacuum
The Electro Plus brings iRobot’s first non-robot floor-cleaning product to the lineup. Introduced July 7, the cordless wet-dry vacuum is designed to vacuum, mop and sanitize in one pass.
It uses electrolyzed water made from tap water rather than added cleaning chemicals or steam. iRobot says the system kills 99.99 percent of bacteria, viruses and fungi.
The Electro Plus also has a self-cleaning roller, adjusts to different messes and comes with a dock that washes and dries the cleaning system.
Pricing and Availability
The Max 875 Combo and Plus 678 Combo are available through iRobot’s U.S. website for $1,199 and $899.
Broader North American retail availability is planned for later in September.

The Roomba Duo remains a prototype. iRobot has not announced pricing, a release date or a final production configuration.
