Mammotion LUBA 4 AWD Adds Active Steering, Optional Edge Trimming at IFA 2026
Mammotion’s LUBA 4 AWD replaces front omni wheels with active steering, adds wider camera coverage and offers optional edge trimming on select models.
Mammotion introduced the LUBA 4 AWD at IFA 2026, updating its flagship robotic mower with independently steered front wheels, four-camera navigation and an optional edge-trimming attachment.
The lineup includes the LUBA 4 AWD 3000F for lawns up to three-quarters of an acre, the LUBA 4 AWD 6000F for lawns up to 1.5 acres and the LUBA 4 AWD 12000F for lawns up to 3 acres.
LUBA 4 AWD Replaces Omni Wheels With Active Steering
The biggest hardware change is the move away from the front omni wheels used on the LUBA 3 AWD.
The LUBA 4 AWD instead uses independently steered front wheels, with each wheel able to turn into a corner rather than scrub across the grass.
Mammotion says the design reduces turf damage and visible tracks during repeated turns.
The mower can also drive in either direction, reducing the need to turn around before starting another mowing pass.
Tri-Fusion Navigation Gets Wider Camera Coverage
Mammotion's updated Tri-Fusion navigation system combines 360-degree lidar, NetRTK positioning and four wide-angle cameras.
The LUBA 3 AWD already combined lidar, RTK and camera-based navigation, but the LUBA 4 adds wider camera coverage with views to the front, sides and rear.
The 3000F and 6000F use dual cutting discs, while the 12000F uses three. Mammotion has also added a removable battery and 210-watt charging system.
Optional Edge Trimmer Targets Boundary Work
Mammotion is also offering an optional edge-trimming attachment designed to cut closer to walls, fences and other boundaries.
The attachment is sold separately and is compatible with the LUBA 4 AWD 3000F and 6000F, but not the 12000F.
Mammotion says it is intended to reduce the amount of string trimming needed after mowing.
The company has not said how much the attachment will cost, how far it extends or how it handles obstacles and uneven lawn edges.
Mammotion Expands Into Commercial Mowing
Mammotion also showed its new Maston commercial robotic mower platform at IFA.
Maston is designed for professional users managing larger properties and supports fleet monitoring, remote diagnostics and mowing management.
Two versions are planned. Maston Rotary is designed for heavier vegetation, while Maston Flail is intended for maintained turf.
Pricing and Availability
Mammotion says LUBA 4 AWD preorders are expected to open in the fourth quarter of 2026. Pricing has not been announced, and availability may vary by region.
The Maston series is already available for preorder through authorized distributors in Europe and Australia.
