How to Use Roborock's "Hello, Rocky" Voice Commands
Learn how to use Roborock's Hello Rocky voice assistant, including cleaning commands, supported models, room cleaning, Clean Here and dock maintenance.
Roborock's built-in Hello Rocky voice assistant lets owners control cleaning, send their robot vacuum to specific rooms and manage dock maintenance without opening the Roborock app.
The assistant responds to "Hello Rocky" and is available on several Roborock models. It doesn't require a separate smart speaker.

Hello Rocky supports the following functions on compatible models.

How to Activate Hello Rocky
Hello Rocky is built into supported models, but owners should check that the assistant is enabled before using it.
- Power on the robot and open the Roborock app.
- Add the robot and complete setup if you haven't already.
- Open the robot's voice assistant settings and enable Hello Rocky if necessary.
- Complete mapping to use room-specific cleaning commands.
Say "Hello Rocky" followed by a supported instruction.
Basic commands can work without Wi-Fi on models equipped with offline voice recognition. Other functions may depend on the robot's saved map or app settings.
Clean Where You're Standing
Hello Rocky's Clean Here feature allows compatible robots to locate the person speaking and clean nearby.
For example, saying "Hello Rocky, clean here" directs the robot toward the speaker instead of requiring a cleaning zone to be selected in the app.
This can be useful for cleaning up crumbs or a small spill. The robot's ability to locate the speaker may depend on background noise, distance and the layout of the room.
Cleaning Specific Rooms
Owners can direct Hello Rocky to a mapped room, such as the kitchen or living room, without starting a whole-home cleaning cycle.
The room must be identified correctly on the robot's map. Room divisions and names can be adjusted in the Roborock app.
Changing Cleaning Settings
Hello Rocky can adjust supported cleaning modes, suction power and water settings.
The available options vary because Roborock uses different mopping systems across its lineup, including vibrating mop pads, spinning mop pads and roller mops.
More detailed settings remain available through the Roborock app.
Controlling Dock Maintenance
On models with compatible multifunctional docks, Hello Rocky can request maintenance operations rather than waiting for the dock to perform them automatically.
Dust emptying requires an auto-empty dock, while mop washing and drying require docks equipped with those functions.
What If Hello Rocky Doesn't Understand a Command?
If the robot doesn't respond, confirm that it's powered on and the voice assistant is enabled.
Move closer, reduce background noise and try a shorter command. If the robot wakes but doesn't complete the task, check the supported voice instructions in the Roborock app.
Room cleaning requires a completed map, and some features may be unavailable depending on the model or its current operating status.
Keep the robot's firmware updated to maintain access to supported voice functions.
