MOVA Z70 Ultra Roller Complete Appears on Amazon Ahead of U.S. Launch

The MOVA Z70 Ultra Roller Complete has appeared on Amazon in the United States, signaling that the company's updated roller-mop flagship is moving closer to a U.S. launch.

The Z70 is not currently listed on MOVA's U.S. website, although MOVA has already introduced the model globally. Its appearance on Amazon also indicates the robot likely received the necessary Federal Communications Commission authorization before new restrictions on foreign-made advanced robotic devices took effect July 28.

Z70 Brings Incremental Changes From Z60

The Z70 Ultra Roller Complete builds directly on last year's Z60 Ultra Roller Complete rather than introducing an entirely new cleaning system.

The biggest change is suction, which increases from 28,000 Pa on the Z60 to 36,000 Pa on the Z70. MOVA also increased downward pressure on the roller mop from about 4,100 Pa (17N) to 5,000 Pa (18N).

The roller itself is slightly wider, increasing from 10.1 inches on the Z60 to 10.6 inches on the Z70. Its outward extension also increases from 1.6 inches to just over 2 inches, giving the roller additional reach along walls and into corners.

MOVA has also updated its obstacle recognition system. The Z60 was rated to identify more than 200 types of objects, while the Z70 increases that figure to more than 300. The Z70 adds "InfiniteEye," which allows users to identify additional objects in the MOVAhome app and set how the robot should handle them.

Threshold-crossing capability has also increased slightly. MOVA rated the Z60 for a combined two-step obstacle climbing of up to 3.15 inches. The Z70 increases that to 3.5 inches, although its maximum single-step height still remains at 1.9 inches.

One feature that does not appear to carry over from the Z60 is MOVA's LiftPro chassis system. The Z60 uses LiftPro to raise the entire robot over low obstacles, and MOVA specifically says it can lift the chassis when moving across shag rugs.

The Z70 can still raise its chassis as part of its StepMaster 2.0 threshold-crossing system, but MOVA does not list LiftPro or advertise the same carpet-specific chassis lifting found on the Z60.

The Z70 retains the Z60's retractable lidar, dual TroboWave rollers, automatic carpet shield, extendable side brush and roller-mopping system.

The base station also receives one notable upgrade. Mop-washing water can now reach up to 212 degrees Fahrenheit, compared with 176 degrees on the Z60.

MOVA has not yet announced a formal U.S. release date or price for the Z70 Ultra Roller Complete, but Amazon has listed the model for $1,299.
